Designer and President of New York-based DeMerini, Louise Damiano gives a new and modern appeal to the most classic styles. Her inspiration comes from many sources. One is listening to the very women she designs for, which is how she created her signature piece, `The Guarded Heart'. Woven in white or yellow gold and set with diamonds, this piece represents more than the traditional symbol of love. Damiano says she wanted to symbolize “an experienced heart, not jaded, but wise. Many hearts I see don't show strength. This is both feminine and strong and I really wanted to give that to women.”
