Two professional racing car drivers bring their expertise to T08 Side Command Chronograph.

Dedicated to motor sports, T08 Side Command Chronograph is the result of the technical cooperation between Japy's watch makers and two specialists of endurance racing cars : Jean-Philippe BELLOC et Jean-Christophe BOULLION.

When starting the T08 Side Command Chronograph project, the two pilots detailed their racing
Conditions :
Jean-Philippe has to sustain very high temperatures inside his Dodge Viper, up to 60°C.
Jean-Christophe often drives the open body Courage-Pescarolo prototype in a thorough fully wet driving suit when it is raining.
And both of them have to endure strong accelerations, violent braking, heavy lateral pressure in curves, as well as bumps and vibrations.

Once their racing conditions were input in the development chart, Jean-Philippe and Jean-Christophe exposed their requirements : clear dial and hands indications, highly contrasted display, perfect legibility under low light, robustness, water resistance, possibility of using the pushers with gloves, no limitation of the wrist's movements, time computing on short as well as long periods.
Then, once the development was completed, Jean-Philippe BELLOC and Jean-Christophe BOULLION's job was to test T08 Side Command Chronograph prototypes in order to validate or adjust the last details.
Now they both use a production chronograph and test them over a long period of time, during races in Le Mans, Magny-Cours, Monza, Sebring or Road Atlanta. Their chronographs are regularly brought back in Japy's workshop in order to check their actual condition and their resistance to aging.

Such a long run cooperation is an unmatchable source of information for Japy, and a guaranty of quality for all T08 Side Command Chronograph's users.
