Orbita Releases Industry's First Upgradeable Multi-head Watchwinder Series

Orbita Corporation releases in January 2003 the Sienna and the Monaco series, the watch industry's first watchwinders with interchangeable drive heads, allowing complete expandability for a growing automatic watch collection. Each unit features full controls and electronics for one to six drive heads, insuring that the collector will never outgrow the Sienna or Monaco's capabilities.

Like all Orbita products, the Sienna and the Monaco (right) are infused with the practical philosophy of Orbita Corporation president and founder Chuck Agnoff. “These products are designed for the wristwatch collector who wants to add more winder capability to a growing collection without incurring the expense of acquiring another completely new multi-head unit. Because these units all utilize the same three head frame module you can purchase a larger Monaco case that accommodates six heads or a Bergamo case for nine heads, and purchase only the frames for your current needs. The system allows you to purchase additional drive head frames as the need arises,” says Agnoff.

All Orbita watchwinders are designed with three critical differentiating features:

- Each is designed from the ground up by Chuck Agnoff, a mechanical engineer with over 40 years experience.

- Each is designed to meet a need expressed by the watch collecting community.

- Each is American-made and totally field serviceable.

The Siena series ($1195-1555) is available in a luxurious fully enclosed sloped case with beveled glass viewing panel in three finishes with two to four drive heads. The Monaco series in two sizes ($1395-3695) is available with a flip up front and top glass viewing panels and features a built in storage drawer, with a choice of three finishes to accommodate between two to six drive heads. Available finishes are Teakwood, Maple Burl, Black Piano or fine black Italian leather. All models features independently programmable electronics and lockable cases.
