IWC Basel 94 MMS 419
This new «ali-man’s chronograph» is the sort of stopwatch-mechanism timepiece that IWC has long been reputed for. Its calibre 7902 seifwinding mechanical movement with centre rotor has been adjusted in all five positions and offers a 44-hour power reserve. An internal soft-iron shield provides efficient antimagnetic protection. It adds 2/8th of a second to measured times up to 12 hours and displays both the date and the day, with instant correction by the setting crown. This design is notable for its high-tech black ceramic case on zirconium oxide frame, tested at 9 on the hardness scale. A companion watch in matte-finished steel rounds out the collection. Water-resistant to 50 m, these chronographs feature a cambered sapphire crystal and a screw-locked crown. Their leather strap or black, solid steel bracelet comes with a patented clasp.
