Ulysse Nardin’s “San Marco” model, an officially certified chronometer, revives an all-but-forgotten art, that of cloisonna enamel. The eyecatching “Cutty Sark” dial’s complete fabrication requires 54 separate operations, a dozen oven firings and a good hundred hours of work.
