More hearts beating at Frederique Constant

May 2006

With the resounding success of its Heart Beat Collections, Frederique Constant introduces two additional models at BaselWorld so that you can ‘Live your passion!’

The initial reaction to the new Heart Beat Manufacture Moonphase-Date is an important one that provokes a simple question: can you live with a watch without a dial?
The answer must be ‘yes’. This is not a skeleton watch, it is a carefully created timepiece that effectively utilizes the beautiful Côte de Genève decorated bridges as the background for its features – hours, minutes, moon phase at 12 o’clock surrounded by a round date indicator. These features stand out against the bridges and are highlighted by the circular graining and minute track on the narrow mainplate that encircles the bridges.

Automatic Heart Beat Ladies and Heart Beat Manufacture Moonphase-Date

Having fascinated humanity since Man began walking upright, moon phases are now a popular complication on wristwatches. However, this model is different, not only because of its colourful appeal, but also because the moon phase indicator is run by a 59-tooth star - corresponding to twice the full lunar cycle of 29.5 days.
The Heart Beat Manufacture Moonphase-Date is equipped with Frederique Constant’s own Calibre FC-915 manual winding movement with a power reserve of 48 hours and it also has a sapphire crystal caseback. The watches are available in Limited Editions – 99 pieces in 18 carat gold, and 188 pieces in stainless steel.
For the ladies, Frederique Constant has created a stainless steel Automatic Heart Beat. Equipped with an automatic Calibre FC-310 movement with a power reserve of 42 hours, it offers hours, minutes, seconds and a Heart Beat aperture. The mother-of-pearl dial has a central translucent Constant Heart pattern with diamond indices and features a double heart aperture at 12 o’clock. There are sapphire crystals front and back, the bridges have Côtes de Genève decoration and the bezel of the watch is set with 57 VVS Tope Wessleton diamonds. The watch is water-resistant to 60 metres and it comes with an alligator leather strap with a waterproof lining.
Two Swiss Made watches, two eye-catching innovations, two timepieces that Frederique Constant has created that will ensure the brand continues its constant growth.
