This mini watchmaking group (it also owns the Alpina and Ateliers de Monaco brands) is young (1988)… for a Swiss brand. Based in the suburbs of Geneva, Frédérique Constant is positioned in the “accessible luxury” segment and has won plaudits for its sound value for money. Its new premises will allow it to produce more in-house movements and to increase its proportion of manufacture calibres. The Heart Beat Moon Phase and Date models were used to introduce the second in-house calibre, the FC-915, whose star wheel with 59 teeth allows the changing moon quarters to be displayed precisely. For its other movements, Frédérique Constant uses Sellita and Ronda. In May 2016, Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. acquired Frédérique Constant Group including Alpina and Ateliers DeMonaco.
