Bedat & Co. celebrates 2008 with a lucky number 8

There are watch brands that create jewellery and jewellery brands that produce watches. There are watches that look like jewellery and jewellery that tells the time. However, Bédat’s new Ref. 394 from its No. 3 collection, is both a watch and a piece of jewellery - just not at the same time.

Confused? Let me explain - where most watch straps are attached to the case between the lugs, the strap on the Ref. 394 is one unique piece that slides through the back of the case. The watchcase can be easily removed and replaced with an ornament, in the form of Bedat & Co.’s renowned ‘8’ logo, turning the watch into an elegant bracelet.
There are six models for this new line - four non-set versions and two diamond versions - one with white diamonds and one with black diamonds. The dials are slightly more Art Déco inspired than the previous models in the No. 3 collection, yet the overall look is extremely contemporary and complements the No. 3’s signature tonneau case to a T.
The idea was to create something special for women in 2008 as the number eight is Bédat & Co.’s logo and also the luckiest of all the numbers in Asian culture.
This new watch and bracelet set follows the brand’s philosophy of creating an experience for the owner; the purchase of a Bédat & Co. timepiece goes much further than the acquisition of a watch.
At the end of last year, the company announced that each of its new owners would receive a membership to the concierge service Quintessentially, a private members’ club that knows how to do those things that are almost impossible if you don’t have connections - dinner reservations at those restaurants that are always fully booked, the latest mobile phone that has sold out countrywide or a caterer when dinner burns and 12 guests are arriving within the hour!
Bédat & Co. is going the extra mile for its clients so they feel great about their watch and terrific about their connection with the company. It’s a good strategy in a world where service is becoming a deciding factor in a client’s choice and lucky numbers aren’t always enough.
