Oris presents two new pieces, each dedicated to specific historical applications of watchmaking.

The first is a classic pilots’ watch that commemorates the 1932 International Tourism Challenge, the third race of its kind organised by the International Aeronautics Federation. It took place from 12 to 28 August 1932 in Berlin and consisted of three different disciplines: technical tests, a rallye across Europe and a maximum speed test with at least two passengers aboard.

The Oris Challenge International de Tourisme 1932 is a limited edition of 1932 pieces inspired by the brand’s Big Crown collection and features the distinctive grooved bezel that marks all Oris aviation timepieces. It is presented in a special box together with a Zippo lighter – another iconic product that dates back to 1932.

The second model is a regulator timepiece called the Artelier Regulateur. Maintaining the clarity that was required by scientists and explorers in order to ensure optimum legibility, only the minutes hand revolves around the circumference of the dial from its centre, with the remaining indications (hours and small seconds) confined to sub-dials.

Both models are in stainless steel (44mm diameter for the pilots’ watch and 40.5mm for the regulator) with brown leather straps and both are powered by Sellita mechanical movements.
