Ulysse Nardin announced the appointment of Benedikt Schlegel as Delegate of the Board, effective March, 1 2013. Benedikt Schlegel joins Ulysse Nardin from Movado Group Inc. where he served for the last seven years as Senior Vice President and led the Swiss based activities as Chief Operating Officer Europe.

Ulysse Nardin rose under the visionary leadership of Rolf Schnyder to the top of mechanical watchmaking leaving a legacy of sustainable growth and emblematic innovations. The solid financial foundation, the positive momentum in the marketplace and the promising prospects after the seamless transition to the new management - helmed by Patrik Hoffmann - called for a reinforcement of the Board, which resulted in the nomination of Marc Küffer last year and finds its consistent continuation with Benedikt Schlegel this year. Under the guidance of the newly formed Board of Directors, the company will continue the path of independence and support the management team with a solid backbone of expertise in watchmaking and strategic leadership.

A particular attention will be given to the wide range of opportunities Ulysse Nardin possesses based on its rich heritage in patents and innovations, with a main focus on exciting new technologies around the in-house mechanical movement production – leading discipline of a true Manufacture Horlogère.
