August 2014

Moscow and New York are the locales for A. Lange & Söhne’s next boutique inaugurations. For Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid, the imminent openings reflect the international success of the Saxon manufactory.

“The two sites are important cornerstones of our global distribution strategy. They are guideposts along our path to establishing brand embassies in the world’s most attractive shopping destinations.” Wilhelm Schmid, A. Lange & Söhne CEO

In both cities, A. Lange & Söhne succeeded in finding top-tier properties at prestigious locations, guaranteeing an authentic and intensive brand experience for watch aficionados in both key markets. By the end of the year, the sublimely crafted timepieces from Saxony will be available at 13 Lange Boutiques as well as hand-picked points of sale in 62 countries around the world.

On Madison Avenue, one of Manhattan’s liveliest shopping miles, enthusiasts of the eminent watch brand can delight in close-up encounters with the micromechanical masterpieces on two floors starting in early September. The New York venue is the manufactory’s second boutique in the USA, following Palm Beach.

Also in September, the brand’s first Russian boutique opens on Stoleshnikov pereulok, one of Moscow’s most exclusive shopping streets, extending a cordial welcome to customers and Lange fans. With its constantly growing community of enthusiasts, Russia has ranked among the strategically important markets since Lange established a presence there in 2000. The official inauguration is scheduled to take place on 23 September 2014 in the nearby Stanislavsky Theatre.

Ever since the manufactory opened its first own shop outside Germany in Shanghai in 2008, A. Lange & Söhne Boutiques have become embassies of Saxon precision watchmaking. What they all have in common is the interior design concept that reflects the brand’s signature colours and materials, featuring boiserie panelling and sandstone elements.
Representative collections as well as highly competent and attentive advisors send a message to visitors: this is a place imbued with the history and philosophy of A. Lange & Söhne, a home for the brand’s unique combination of innovative technology and traditional craftsmanship.
