Doxa dives deep into white in 2022

The SUB 300 Carbon as well as the SUB 300, SUB 300T, SUB 600T and SUB 1500T are now available in a Whitepearl version.

oxa expands its colour spectrum to white – by popular demand: following the runaway success of the SUB 200 Whitepearl launched last year, it’s only logical for all the other members of the SUB family to catch the Whitepearl wave. Tech, matte, racy, urban, sporty – five new models are ready for a white wrist ride in time for spring and summer.

The new line-up begins with the now-iconic SUB 300 Carbon that blends discreet elegance with advanced material engineering. The forged carbon case is not just uncannily lightweight and robust: The random graining, subtly different from watch to watch, makes each one a one-off in a way. And then there’s the dial: pure white during the day and just as radiant in low-light conditions thanks to a full-dial Super-LumiNova® coating. Wherever your dives take you, Whitepearl never leaves you in the dark.

42.5 mm in diameter and water-resistant to 30 ATM (300 meters, approx. 980 feet) and incredibly light at a mere 87 grams, the SUB 300 Carbon Whitepearl offers a radical combination: a case made of a high-performance material in shades of black and anthracite, whose iridescent effects play off the white dial and strap. A fresh take on an icon that is not just certified Contemporary. Precise, robust and dependable, the SUB 300 Carbon Whitepearl’s movement also meets the standards set forth by the prestigious COSC (for Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres), which certifies the chronometric performance and the scrupulous respect of the requirements in terms of reliability, shock resistance, automatic winding and ease of maintenance.

From this day forward, Whitepearl white is also an option for the legendary SUB 300 and SUB 300T in steel. Need we go over the fabled history of the watch worn by Jacques-Yves Cousteau and his team of divers who took us – and millions of other TV viewers – along on the legendary missions of "The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau.” After Sharkhunter Black, Searambler Silver, Aquamarine Turquoise, Divingstar Yellow, Caribbean Navy Blue, and of course Professional Orange (the one at the origin of the timeless legend), the family welcomes Whitepearl White into the fold. White like the bracing freshness of spring, the cooling caress of a summer breeze on the wrist, and full of purpose like the tool watch it has always been and always be. The SUB 300 is COSC-certified and water-resistant to 30 ATM (300 meters, approx. 980 feet). The 300T is rated to 120 ATM and can go down to 1,200 meters or about 4,000 feet.

White was also dominant color on 80s roads – it seemed that every car brand had a ‘White Edition.’ It’s only fitting that our iconic diver from that era should also come in white. The new SUB 600T in steel, presented to great acclaim last November, and now enhanced with a unidirectional rotating bezel featuring a white ceramic or sandblasted steel insert with time and depth scales. Instantly recognizable by the offset crown at 4 o’clock, its 40mm case is carved from a block of 316L stainless steel that is is water-resistant to 60 ATM (600 meters. approx. 1,970 feet). Its sheer massiveness, the chamfered edges and angular lines mean business, a sense of purpose expressed even more unequivocally now with the white dial. The whole perfectly expresses both fidelity to the basic principle of design – that form follows function – and the promise of an exceptional and elegant tool watch, perfect for any occasion and mission above and below the surface.

The SUB 1500T Whitepearl doesn’t turn the idea of a watch ‘built-to-withstand-not-just-any-but-ANY-pressure’ on its head: In fact it takes it to 11. Here, the sense of clarity and simplicity that naturally comes with white plays to the inherent strengths of the timepiece. Its own sense of purpose-builtness. And at the same time, there is no denying that the Whitepearl version gives off a vibe of easy-goingness that comes from the supreme confidence of being ready prepared for truly any eventuality. The lightness that comes with true and undisputed mastery and competence. The pièce de resistance in the collection, indeed resistant to 150 ATM of pressure – i.e., rated to a depth of 1,500 meters, approx. 5,000 feet – understandably has a case of 316L stainless steel, its imposing 45 mm diameter a function of its capacity to dive long and dive deep.
