Gucci 25H

The Florentine brand is adding a bold new milestone to its horological collections with the new GUCCI 25H, its first mechanical watch in the ultra- thin luxury sports segment, including automatic, diamond-set, yellow gold, platinum and tourbillon editions housing a debut in-house calibre.

T

he GUCCI 25H reflects the sleek forms of contemporary architecture, where functional materials like steel were celebrated as precious in their own right. This can be seen in the continuous rhythms of the horizontal satin-brushed lines on the watch dial and Interlocking G logo.

The GUCCI 25H bears a playfully symbolic name, containing a number that Alessandro Michele considers a talisman and one he often features in his collections for Gucci.

GUCCI 25H Automatic Steel

Gucci makes its high-watchmaking debut with an impressively thin case of just 7.2mm, crafted in three super-fine layers. With a case diameter of 40mm, the smooth, level bezel of the GUCCI 25H Automatic Steel is precision-designed to cover the crown, rendering it almost invisible, so as not to interrupt the sleek outline of the case. The watch seals its modern character with finely balanced architectural details.

A series of satin-brushed dark-grey horizontal lines adds subtle depth to its slim frame, while the calibre designation, GUCCI GG727.25, is highlighted in red. The double-G logo is applied at 12 o’clock with the GUCCI signature and ‘Automatic’ in black just below. The skeleton hands, too, are a novel design, each sporting a SuperLuminova dot marker near the tip.

The Calibre GUCCI GG727.25 is visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback of the GUCCI 25H Automatic Steel. With its variable-inertia balance running at 3Hz (21,600 oscillations per hour), the 24-jewel movement is self-wound via a micro-rotor and features a 60-hour power reserve. A unique Gucci wave is guilloched on the movement plates.

GUCCI 25H Automatic Diamonds

In this gem-set variation of the super-slim GUCCI 25H Automatic Steel, a circle of 82 brilliant-cut diamonds draws dazzling attention to the GUCCI 25H’s distinctly smooth cushion-shaped bezel, producing an avant- garde geometry that places a circle inside a square.

GUCCI 25H Tourbillon Editions

Two exceptional tourbillon editions of the GUCCI 25H are also being presented in 2021: one in platinum, a highly precious metal prized for its durability and strength, the other in yellow gold, each crafted with an ultra-thin case thickness of just 8 mm. The calibre designation – GG727.25.T is expertly engraved just above the dial’s centre.
