y combining precision, functionality and aesthetics, a watch has the potential to become not just a teller of time, but a reliable companion through life. The self-powered illumination technology trigalight has the power to add a decisive edge to any timepiece by providing unparalleled round-the-clock readability and unmatched design characteristics.

The invention of trigalight technology led to the foundation of microtechnology specialist mb-microtec ag in 1969. Manufactured at their Swiss headquarters in Niederwangen near Bern, the technology harnesses the power of tritium gas to bring light to even the finest watch components. When other watches disappear into the dark, trigalight brings them into the light.

Thanks to their minimal installation size, trigalight's so-called hair-lights can be applied to the most delicate parts of a watch, illuminating hands, dials, bezels, and even gear wheels. The company draws on years of experience working with watch manufactures world-wide as well as its sister brand traser. Timepieces, like the new P68 Pathfinder Automatic, are designed to fulfill the highest demands. Thanks to the luminescence provided by trigalight, they are watches that wearers can always count on – literally.
Thanks to their minimal installation size, trigalight’s so-called hair-lights can be applied to the most delicate parts of a watch, illuminating hands, dials, bezels, and even gear wheels.

The key characteristics of trigalight can be customised to fit seamlessly into any timepiece. While green is the colour perceived as brightest by the human eye, the technology is available in custom colour blends and in various shapes and sizes.

In its smallest execution, the outer diameter of a trigalight measures as little as 0.3 millimetres – approximately five times the thickness of a human hair.

The intensity of the luminescence can be adjusted by the number and size of capillaries integrated into the watch. The trigalight team works closely with its clients to tailor its technology to their – and more importantly their wearers’ – needs. From development all the way to the production, the manufacturing process is 100 percent Swiss-based, and combines comprehensive knowledge in the fields of microtechnology, chemistry and physics with an innovative spirit and care. Timepieces illuminated by trigalight combine unique design characteristics with robust functionality to act as reliable companions through life.
