ollowing on from the successful Mint and Lime versions, the Dual Time Pink is the watch to wear while cruising down Ocean Drive, Miami Beach. Riffing on the district’s famed Art Deco architecture, this latest execution introduces a laid-back style with a splash of Pantone 700C pink that won’t go unnoticed.
Sporting a new-generation Piccadilly case in Grade 5 titanium with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, it reveals a bold horological personality that contrasts with the playful pink shade. The architectural dial adopts this bubble-gum palette for its plate as well as for the small seconds and retrograde date at the 1:30 position, which also gain in legibility thanks to this vivid hue.
This same shade of pink distinguishes daylight hours on the subdial for the second time zone at 9 o’clock, as well as the rhodium-plated arrow-shaped GMT hand and the heart-shaped hour and minute hands, which are also rhodium-plated. This harmonious whole is an invitation to enjoy life, head for the beach and never be afraid to stand out from the crowd.
An expert eye will recognise the in-house SMA02 movement, developed and assembled by Le Cercle des Horlogers. It runs at 28,800 vibrations/hour while the barrel, visible at 5 o’clock, delivers 52 hours of power reserve. Automatic winding is by a fully integrated micro-rotor in the shape of Speake Marin’s signature Topping Tool logo. Framing this picture is a black PVD flange that carries the minute scale in matte grey.
