uilding on the modularity of the K2 micro-rotor, the focus for the Supersede Date was to break away from the classic three-hand with date function. Given that the Horage community and the brand’s designers loved the jump hour set function of the Supersede GMT, Horage decided to incorporate this feature into the hour hand of the Supersede Date.
The function is ideal for globetrotters, allowing the wearer to quickly adjust the hour hand to the destination time without interrupting the running seconds and minute hands. Complementing the Jump Hour Set function is the Big Date at three o’clock with Quick Date Adjust: simply turn the crown counter clockwise to swiftly adjust the date.
Horage also sets a high bar when it comes to the use of premium materials. 904L stainless steel, prized over 316L for its superior resistance to stress, pitting and corrosion, is utilised throughout the design, starting with the bi-directional rotating timing bezel. A mix of highly polished, brushed and matte textured surfaces not only add aesthetic appeal, they also enhance legibility and provide a better grip on the bezel. The integrated 904L stainless steel bracelet with micro-adjustment buckle is the perfect finishing touch.
The Supersede Date is powered by the in-house Chronometer Certified K2 calibre. Despite being just 3.6 mm thick and powered by a single barrel, the K2 provides over 72 hours of power reserve and can be fitted with either a tungsten or platinum rotor. Thanks to advanced material science and proprietary technology, Horage is one of the first independents to offer a silicon hairspring, escape wheel and anchor. The combination enhances overall movement efficiency, isochronism and resistance to magnetic fields.
