rawing inspiration from classic soldiers’ mechanical watches, the Khaki Field Power Reserve Mechanical maintains the collection’s signature colour palette, design direction and rugged aesthetic. The hands are coated with Super-LumiNova® Old Radium for an authentic vintage appearance, while the power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock is highlighted in distinctive red, clearly showing “F” for full and “E” for empty.
At the heart of this timepiece lies a new manual-winding movement developed by ETA exclusively for Hamilton. This H-23 calibre allows for the 80-hour power reserve to be visualised directly on the dial, a first for a Khaki Field. This complication is driven by a differential mechanism, which operates through friction between its internal components. As the differential relies on friction, a strong shock can cause one of its plates to shift relative to the other. This may lead to a desynchronisation between the power reserve hand and the actual state of the mainspring barrel.

- A major evolution for the original field watch: the all-new 40mm Hamilton Khaki Field Power Reserve Mechanical with 80-hour power reserve and dial indicator.
To address this, the movement is fitted with a slipping spring inside the barrel. This allows the system to resynchronise automatically during winding, without requiring intervention or servicing. The slipping spring also ensures that the crown does not reach a hard stop at full wind, protecting the movement from overwinding and improving user comfort.
While the 40mm case retains the iconic Khaki Field shape, it has been carefully adapted to house the new movement and features a refined sandblasted finish. Available in classic black and white dial options, each watch comes with either a three-row stainless steel bracelet with butterfly clasp or a green NATO strap with brown leather loops. The EasyClick system on the metal bracelet allows for rapid strap changes on the go.
