B
ronze enters the Scafograf collection through two components: the bezel and crown. Paired with a 39mm steel case, these accents give the Eberhard & Co. Scafograf 200 MCMLIX Bronze Edition a warmer register, while leaving its proportions intact.
The launch at the 2026 Genoa International Boat Show, where Eberhard & Co. serves as Official Timekeeper, provided a fitting setting for a collection introduced in 1959: a date recalled by the Roman numerals in the model’s name.
The material’s evolution is part of the proposition. Exposure to air, moisture and salt water gradually changes bronze’s surface, creating a patina shaped by wear. The bezel and crown should therefore acquire a character distinct from the surrounding steel.
A black ceramic bezel insert carries bronze-coloured details and vintage-toned luminescence across the first fifteen minutes. The black dial continues this palette, with polished bronze-coloured outlines on the hands and markers. Round and triangular indexes, together with the triangular hour-hand tip, recall the earliest Scafograf. A laser-engraved peripheral minute scale completes the display.
The diving features remain familiar: a unidirectional bezel, automatic helium escape valve, screw-down crown and domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. On the screw-down back, the collection’s starfish emblem receives a gold-coloured PVD finish. Three configurations are offered: Milanese mesh, the Chassis steel bracelet, or water-resistant black leather with bronze-coloured stitching, each bringing a different emphasis to the design.
