ollowing the monochromatic Shadow and Cloud, the C-1 Chrono introduces a more historical reference to Aera’s chronograph family. Its matte black dial and contrasting white counters recall the timing instruments associated with motor racing in the 1950s and 1960s, interpreted through the brand’s restrained design.
The one-piece dial curves beneath a domed sapphire crystal, giving the display depth. Red lacquered hands distinguish the chronograph seconds and subdial indications, while the central hand’s circular counterweight passes over the C-1 signature and the two As in Aera’s logo.
A fixed steel bezel carries a minute scale filled with black lacquer. Inside it, the chronograph seconds track runs around the rehaut, accompanied by elapsed minutes and running seconds in the two counters. Super-LumiNova illuminates the hands in green, while a machined 3D logo emits white light.
The brushed 904L steel case measures 42mm across, 15.75mm thick and 49.55mm from lug to lug. Water resistance is 100 metres. Shaped lugs and integrated straps seek to balance these substantial dimensions with comfort on the wrist.
The automatic Sellita SW510 BH, in Elaboré grade, operates at 4Hz and provides 56 hours of power reserve. A solid screw-in back closes the case, with matching serial numbers repeated beneath one lug. Offered in an edition of 300 pieces released in stages, the C-1 Chrono comes with black Italian calfskin and grey FKM rubber straps, plus a handmade leather travel pouch.
