fter the iconic orange of the inaugural SUB 300, the bright colours that punctuated the concept’s evolution, the camo version echoing the brand’s Swiss Army connection and the vintage patina of the recently launched SUB 300T Clive Cussler edition, here comes the SUB 300ß Sharkhunter – in stunning Black & Gold.

Starting from the premise that a sports watch should feel right under any circumstances, the SUB 300ß Sharkhunter retains all of its original DNA while cultivating a sleeker appeal. Doxa slightly reworked the design to create a slimmer watch, resulting in a profile of just 11.95mm (from 13.65mm on the SUB 300T) and a 0.5mm lower bezel height.

The 42.5mm SUB 300ß Sharkhunter has a pressure-resistant titanium container to protect the movement, a patented unidirectional rotating bezel in 18K 3N gold with dual dive time (minutes) / depth (feet) indication for no-stop dives, a screwdown crown also in 18K 3N gold, and 3 ATM water resistance (equivalent to 30 metres).

The result is extravagance with a sense of proportion and a choice of materials that connect the watch to our time. This is achieved by juxtaposing elements that were seemingly meant to be together: black ceramic case, matte grained dial with black-on-black markings… and the dazzling contrast with the mission-critical information provided by the hands and indexes, and the functional bezel and crown in 18K 3N gold.

Sporting Doxa markings on both sides, the black PVD folding clasp with ratcheting wetsuit extension features the embossed ‘Doxa Fish’ symbol. True to the Doxa spirit, this watch defies conventions and pushes boundaries.
