For BaselWorld, TAG Heuer has some very interesting watches for men and women. One of the most acclaimed introductions from last year was the TAG Heuer Grand Carrera collection, leveraging the historic Carrera watches for inspiration, adding innovation and design. This year, TAG Heuer extends its Carrera offerings with two great-looking watches.
First off is the Carrera Calibre 1 Vintage Limited Edition, a mechanical hand-wind movement (used in pocket watches in the 1960s) in a 43mm steel case. This very attract-ive watch is available in a limited edition series of 6000. Owners will enjoy admiring the classic mechanical movement through the sapphire caseback, and the design touch of the two-handed running seconds adds life to the strong black dial.

The other new Carrera is the Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS2 Limited Edition in Grade 2 Titanium. With a 43mm case made of Grade 2 Titanium and featuring a COSC-certified chronograph movement, this watch uses the Grand Carrera trademark rotating system displays - small seconds at three o’clock and chronograph minute counter at nine o’clock. This watch is limited to 1,000 pieces.
On the women's side, the theme is Strength and Beauty. TAG is introducing the Professional Sports Watch for women, the Professional Golf watch reinterpreted with input from tennis champion Maria Sharapova. Made of titanium and steel, the Professional Sports Watch weighs a light 55 grammes, and is ergonomic and comfortable, and shock resistant, for any activity. And, to top it off, the watch is available in pink (as well as original black).

The Aquaracer Lady is now available in a larger size, 32mm, featuring diamond dials, diamond bezels, in steel and gold.
A new feminine version of the Carrera is being introduced in a jewellery edition featuring the TAG Heuer Calibre 4 automatic mechanical movement. This 27mm timepiece is available with a polished steel bezel or a bezel set with 54 diamonds. The dial for either version has 13 diamonds with spiral effects in high-fashion white mother-of-pearl or black dial.
Last but not least is a TAG Heuer Formula 1 Diamond Collection chronograph, in a 37mm case size with 120 diamonds on the polished, fixed stainless-steel bezel.

TAG Heuer's offerings this year are an intriguing mix of solid watchmaking, great design and unique function.
“The vision for TAG Heuer in the future is to have more balance,” says President and CEO Jean-Christophe Babin. “We will not leave the access points for each of the segments. For many people, they have a dream to own a TAG Heuer. Our segment is more of a segment of working people, not millionaires. One of the strong points of TAG Heuer is that we are an accessible luxury brand. 99 percent of consumers perceive, rightly, that 1,000 Euros is a very expensive watch, so the Formula One's role is to give people access to TAG Heuer.
”For retailers, one of our strengths is that we are a kind of 'cash insurance' in hard times,“Babin continues.”If you bet on TAG Heuer, you will win. We guarantee traffic, you have a great chance to sell, the watches turn and generate more money."
