A Judge with Stealth

February 2005

With a remarkable history of creative innovation behind them,Oakley continues to surprise with its trendy technology.

Since its beginnings in the watch industry, Oakley has been at the forefront of creative watchmaking – defying the conventional concepts of how a watch should look.
Today, the styling of many Oakleys offers an arty sculptured appearance that truly sets the brand apart – emphasizing their position as non-conformists in a world of conformists. With the introduction of the Stealth Collection, Oakley proposes a series of timepieces that are not only elegantly different with a sparkling polished black finish, but also they create an arresting variation through the uniquely carved outline of both the watch and the bracelet.
For example, the Blade is subjected to 16 million pounds of force to hammer its high grade stainless steel into shape. The timepiece has a Swiss movement powered by a 74-month battery, a pure sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a steel bracelet engineered to fit snugly onto any wrist.
The GMT Stealth not only offers a second time zone, but it has dual alarm modes. Constructed from surgical stainless steel the solid links complete its Stealth appearance. The Detonator is Oakley’s first quartz analogue chronograph with seven hands. Shielded by an impact-forged stainless steel case with a slightly bulging appearance with push-buttons in polished steel that contrast sharply with the black Stealth colouring, it offers 1/5th second intervals and shows elapsed time, split time, accumulated time and dual competitor time.

JUDGE

Judge for yourselfı
Moving stealthily away from black, there is the Judge, which is impact-forged from highly polished stainless steel with dual sealed crowns for high-pressure endurance. It is equipped with a Swiss made gold-plated five-hand quartz chronograph movement with a central stop-second hand (1/1 second) and a Big Date at 12 o’clock. The watch is water-resistant to 100 metres. The bracelet is also in impact-forged stainless steel with micro adjusted links for maximum comfort and is available with a honed or hand-polished finish or, surprise, surprise - hand-polished with the Stealth black plating.
The undulating contours combined with the polished finish of the Judge create a kaleidoscopic play of light that make this relatively inexpensive and eye-catching timepiece (700 to 800 euros) appear to be worth a king’s ransom.
But you don’t have to take my word for it, you can have a Judge and also be the jury!
