Jaeger-LeCoultre

The Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture dates back to 1833, when Antoine LeCoultre first established his workshop. It was not until 1931, however, that the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand proper was born. After Parisian Edmond Jaeger set a challenge to produce the thinnest calibres, the founder’s grandson Jacques-David LeCoultre set himself to the task.
A friendship developed between Jaeger and LeCoultre, culminating in the birth of the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand in 1937. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is undoubtedly the brand’s most iconic watch. First launched in 1931 after a challenge set by a British polo player in India, the Reverso sports a patented design that has endured for 80 years.
