FRENCH WATCHES, CLOCKS AND JEWELLERY AT BASELWORLD 2005

February 2005

The French participation at BaselWorld 2005 (31st March to 7th April) will comprise 65 watch and jewellery manufacturers representing about one hundred brands, of which:

- 23 watch, watchstrap and component manufacturers in halls 1.1, 1.0, 5.0 and 5.1 as well as 3 U and 3.2,

- 42 jewellery manufacturers and stone and pearl dealers exhibiting in Halls 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 and 3.0, 3.1,
as part of the French sectors organised by the French Watch, Clock and Micro-mechanics Manufacturers' Association (CFHM) and also by the French Federation of Jewellery, Gold- and Silverware (FFBJO).

Throughout time, France and Paris have imposed themselves as the heart of art and design, forerunners of trend and fashion, the source of new ideas and inspiration for designers, inventors and artists, symbols of elegance and luxury. French manufacturers continue this tradition and are committed to design watches and jewellery which translate dreams, emotions and seduction.

Confronted by multi-faceted consumers, with sometimes contradictory expectations, who are looking to set themselves apart and display their difference, the French watch, clock and jewellery industries offer an infinite palette of models. Expertise, originality, authenticity, attractiveness and design are the key words in the new collections.
