The EPHJ Salon breaks records

June 2005


The 2005 edition of the EPHJ (Environment Professionnel Horlogerie-Joaillerie), which took place in May in Lausanne, Switzerland, registered an increase of 25% in the number of exhibitors and an important increase of 30% of visitors (3,500) over the previous year’s event.
Designers, bracelet manufacturers, machine and component manufacturers, leather and packaging specialists assembled over four days to enlighten visitors about the watchmaking environment and present their products and savoir-faire.
The EPHJ offers professionals within the industry and trade a unique opportunity to meet with the specialists within their industry and the majority of participants were happy with both the results and the level of business contacts made. The organizations involved in the economic development of the Cantons of Vaud and the Jura also expressed their satisfaction with the event and look forward to further expanding their participation in the next Salon.
This year the EPHJ also welcomed the Academy of Independent Horological Creators (ACHI) which celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a special exhibition highlighting the sophisticated techniques and creativity of this unique group.
The overall results of the 2005 EPHJ underline how important this rendezvous has become for professionals within the watch and jewellery industries.
The 2006 edition of the EPHJ will take place from 16 – 19 May at Beaulieu, Lausanne.
