Whoever knew best how to hit a “new tone” in the singing schools of the late Middle Ages was elected MeisterSinger.
Richard Wagner’s opera “The Meistersinger of Nuremberg” is based on this historical fact.
Committed to the rich tradition of watchmaking, the goal of MeisterSinger has been to create a wristwatch in an up-to-date and intelligible language. A watch that hits the “tone” for a new age now dawning, yet not breaking with tradition.
MeisterSinger combines traditional values with a demanding design and shows, at the same time, the way back to the beginning of the art of watchmaking.

Of course, it all began with a single hand - the sun dials, the first church steeple clocks, the subscription clocks of Old Brequet. To the people of the late 17th century, a second watchhand must have seemed at least as strange as a single-hand watch today.
With its single-hand models MeisterSinger has set standards during the past years. This confirmed, once again, that simplicity is often the best. After all, MeisterSinger employs the most simple of all tricks: omission!
All MeisterSinger models draw their strong character from rather subtle stylistic devices: the combination of sober numbering with the zero placed in front of the numerals, a cold typography, the striking needle hands, and a pleasant softly shaped casing with convex glass. In this context, the Uhrenmagazin speaks of the high appreciation of details which appear unspectacular if taken separately but in total make up the uniqueness of each MeisterSinger watch. The collection, of course, includes many 3 handed models as well.
