Encouraged by its recent participation in the Top Marques Fair in Shanghai, the Swiss watch makers Pilo & Co have announced the opening of two new boutiques in Peking - one in Peking's Capital airport and the other in downtown Peking.

Pilo & Co, represented in seven boutiques across China, participated in the third edition of the Shanghai's luxury brand fair in November 2007. This event, largely covered by the media is also an important venue for some of Chinas largest collectors.


The show is also inside the booth - A top model wearing a Pilo & Co watch.

The Shanghai International Convention Center was host to some of the biggest names in Luxury goods; presenting the latest in private aircraft and luxury ships to cars, fine dining and the arts. Top jewelers were also present alongside a select group of Swiss watch making ambassadors.

Journalist and Instigator of the Chinese Luxury Index, Rupert Hoogewerf, (Euro money Institutional Investor PLC - a selection of 34 of China's most luxurious companies) explained, "Today, China counts over 150 000 people with fortunes over 5 million US dollars, 50 billionaires and 2000 people with fortunes over 100 million dollars. Mid-2006 the index, rose from 3.5 percent to 8.7 percent compared to the previous year.²
