Balmain launches its new Chain Watch

July 2008

For the first time in its history, Balmain has decided to honour this Olympic year with the Chain Watch, in the form of a beautiful chain bracelet. All curves and elegance, full of character and delicacy, lightweight and casual, it is hardly surprising that the Chain Watch and its polished rings attract attention.

The steel bracelet has undisputed advantages in terms of comfort and aesthetics. Like a necklace, it adjusts delicately and accurately to all wrists. The bracelet not only boosts the natural elegance and lightness of the watch, it also gives it an undisputed casual air.

The Chain Watch is made more beautiful by the mother-of-pearl dial with its dancing legendary arabesques - reworked for the occasion - which Balmain holds so dear. One minute they conjure up a hazy sky full of clouds, the next birds twirling in the air or even the delicate foliage of plants. The black dial model has the appearance of enigmatic heavens under which twelve luminescent indexes are featured.
Both dials are enlivened by two-tone hands operated by a quartz movement.

The steel case, held by the bracelet links, is weightless boasting a high quality timepiece. With the name of the St. Imier brand engraved on its middle case, the watch reflects elegance and character.
Presented for the first time in Basel, the Chain Watch has already aroused enthusiastic chain reactions – which is expected with such an engaging personality…
