Charriol: L’art de vivre la difference

August 2008

Right on time for the new season, Charriol offers a range of ideal watches guaranteed to make their wearers shine with distinction: Saint-Tropez watches for her, and Rotonde models for him. They come with matching accessories so that everyone can set the finishing touch to their personal style.

The lovely ladies of Saint-Tropez

The famous French port of Saint-Tropez has lent its name to a collection of quartz jewellery watches, brimming with a fresh, sensual charm and embodying the bubbling creativity of Charriol. They are totally unique with their double bracelets: one composed of a row of cables clasped by rings engraved with the C logo, and the other formed by a maritime-inspired chain that can be enhanced by charms. The latest additions to the family exercise their seductive appeal in a round case that has been slightly enlarged to a diameter of 30 mm. Their steel body is topped by a mother-of-pearl bezel bearing the Roma numerals and hour-markers, while their pure dial features a small seconds subdial. The star of the collection is an all-white-clad model that shimmers with the iridescent glow of mother-of-pearl, applied not only to the bezel but also to the dial.

Catering to individual fancies

To accessorise Saint-Tropez watches or an independent chain bracelet, Charriol offers an extensive range of charms. The C-logo in silver and the cable cylinder will delight brand enthusiasts, whereas the claws borrowed from the Kucha collection, made in steel adorned with zircons, mother-of-pearl or onyx, will highlight the “savage” streak in women. For those still in touch with their inner child, there is a silver little boy or girl; and for romantics, a string of hearts in pink, red, apple green or turquoise. Nature-lovers will be thrilled by the dragon-flies with wings set with purple, orange or blue stones, as well as enamel-coloured ladybirds in purple and pink, green and yellow, yellow and pink or green and blue variations. A sparkling addition to the wrist!

Rotonde watches

The Rotonde iconic sports models are easily recognisable by the hexagonal-shaped disc on the bezel at 12 o’clock, and the characteristic Charriol attachments with side screws. The new Diver quartz models, water-resistant to 100 metres, show up in steel cases with unidirectional rotating ceramic bezels. The dials with their guilloché central motif feature Arabic numerals and hexagonal-shaped customised hour-markers. The bracelets come in steel echoing the signature hexagon-discs and screws, in black rubber embossed with the C logo, or in sailing canvas and leather in a two-tone version. In the range playing on colour variations, the trendiest of all comes in black or white: black dial and white bezel on a black and white strap.
