Franck Muller Watchland is awarded the ‘Prix de l’Industrie’

Franck Muller Watchland has been awarded with the “Prix de l’Industrie” by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce (CCIG) associated with the Office of Industrial Promotion (OPI) during the 6th annual Economic Conference organized by BCGE, CCIG and OCSTAT.

The “Prix de l’Industrie” was created for the first time in 1985 by the City of Geneva, in order to honour and to promote integrated Geneva based manufacturing companies that distinguish themselves in terms of excellence, innovation and remain on the cutting edge of their field. The 2008 “Prix de l’Industrie” is a recognition of the achievements of the Franck Muller Watchland Group.

Created in Geneva in 1992 by Vartan Sirmakes and Franck Muller, the Group Franck Muller has become one of the most significant companies in the world of haute horlogerie.

Receiving the prize from the President of the Jury, Jean-Luc Favre, Vartan Sirmakes – co-founder and CEO of the Franck Muller Group - declared:

“We are very proud to receive this exemplary reward and prize which is recognition of the hard work completed by a strong team over many years. However, it is also a strong encouragement for the future implementation and investment of new strategies that the Group Franck Muller will incorporate over the next year. We have a strong commitment to Geneva and we are passionate in producing timepieces that are truly 100% Swiss made.”

The Franck Muller Group has 14 sites of production throughout Switzerland, of whom the majority are in Geneva and consists of over a 1000 employees. The Franck Muller brand has more than 50 patents registered in less than 17 years of existence which shows its creativity, its innovative mind as well as its immense knowledge in haute horlogerie.
