The Junghans Star shines again - Following the acquisition of Germany's best-known watch manufacturer by Schramberg-based family business Stein, Junghans will return to Germany's largest watch exposition. Junghans will continue its 148-year-old tradition in Schramberg, and will focus on its core expertise radio-controlled, quartz, and mechanical watches. In addition to the latest Junghans collections the exhibit will also include Max Bill watches. The Max Bill Foundation put its faith in the future of Junghans by signing a new, 15-year licensing agreement. www.junghans.de


Chronoswiss and Sattler keep Bavarian timekeeping tradition at joint booth - 500 years watch making art in Bavaria - the first Bavarian wrist watch manufacturing company Chronoswiss and clock manufacturer Sattler, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, took this special occasion as a reason to exhibit at a joint booth at inhorgenta. The two traditional companies dedicate their first joint appearance at inhorgenta europe to the history of watch making in Bavaria as well as to “Fascination Craftsmanship” This is the stage for Chronoswiss' limited edition model Regulateur 24, driven by an antique manufacture caliber – a true rarity not used by any other brand. Autograph session with race car driver Jochen Mass at inhorgenta Europe - Jochen Mass, living German car racing legend from the 70ies and 80ies, is the godfather of the new watch edition by Düsseldorf's Elysee Uhren GmbH. Under the motto “Time of my life” the company presents its “Edition Jochen Mass” for the first time at inhorgenta europe 2009. The sports watch models in this edition are named after famous race tracks that had an impact on Jochen Mass' career. The limited edition includes an automatic chronograph with a Swiss Valjoux 7750 movement, as well as a manual winding watch with a Unitas 6497 movement. Both models are manufactured by Elysee Uhren GmbH in Germany. Trade show visitors will have the chance to meet Jochen Mass in person.
