Skagen Designs, a pioneer in Danish design for men’s and women’s timepieces, once again impressed the jury of one of the most prestigious international design competitions. In the “red dot award: product design 2012” the Skagen Denmark 234 Series was awarded the “red dot” seal of quality by a jury of 30 world-class experts.
“It is a great honor to be recognized with the red dot quality label in our watch design for the third consecutive year. To see another one of our men’s watches receive the prestigious red dot award is a great accomplishment for us.” said Charlotte and Henrik Jorst, owners of Skagen Designs.
Together with the other award-winning products, the winning Skagen Denmark watch will be displayed from July 3rd - 29th 2012, in the exhibition “Design on stage – winners red dot award: product design 2012” in the red dot design museum at the world heritage site of the Zeche Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen.
After that it will be presented in the red dot design museum’s permanent exhibition for at least one year. With approximately 1,500 products on more than 4,000 square metres, the red dot design museum houses the largest permanent exhibition of contemporary design worldwide.
