Roger Dubuis, famous for equipping all its watches with movements that confirm to the exacting standards of the Geneva Hallmark, launches a new collection of ladies’ and gent’s models in its Excalibur range with a 42mm case diameter.

These models bridge the gap between the larger (45mm) and smaller (36mm) models in the collection but retain the unmistakable design features of the Excalibur collection: triple lugs, fluted bezel and elongated Roman numerals. Three different variations are available in this new case size: Automatic, Automatic Jewellery and Automatic Precious Dial, the names speaking for themselves.

Four different version of the Automatic model are available, with cases in stainless steel or red gold to house the distinctive dial, with its elongated Roman numerals and oversized small seconds counter in the 9 o’clock position. These models are powered by the new RD620 calibre movement and come with an alligator leather strap. The RD620 calibre is a COSC-certified chronometer with a power reserve of 52 hours and an operating frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).

Available as a limited series of 188 pieces each, the Automatic Precious Dial models are available exclusively with white or red-gold cases and a choice of dials in mother-of-pearl, onyx or lapis lazuli, offering a striking background against which the time can be read. They are powered by the RD622 movement and come with an alligator leather strap. The RD622 movement shares the same specifications as the above-mentioned RD620 but does not have the small-seconds module. Both movements have been designed, produced, assembled and adjusted at the Roger Dubuis workshops and both are certified with the Geneva Hallmark.

The Automatic Jewellery models are also available in white or red gold with a sunburst satin-finish dial and a bezel set with 36 diamonds (approx. 2.09 carats), as well as a buckle set with a further 17 diamonds (approx. 0.12 carats). The oversized small seconds display at 9 o’clock signals that these models are also powered by the RD620 calibre.
