Five of the Gc rising stars, from four continents performed during the evening and entertained the guests. During this ‘Moments of Smart Luxury’ evening, Gc also launched its new advertising campaign based on the same imagery reinforced by the claim: Realize your dream.
The love and mastery of black and white photography of Paul Marciano, founder and inspirational force behind the Gc brand, made this the perfect medium for the Gc photographic concept as well as for the new advertising campaign – a medium that combines artistry and emotion with a contemporary edge, reminiscent of the brand itself.

Pino Gomes was chosen as the photographer for this concept since he, like the people he photographed, is a passionate and dynamic rising star in his domain. Originally from Brazil, he now divides his time between New York and Zurich. Pino realized his own dream through this international concept. Since its start in 2011 he has travelled over 100,000 miles to nearly 40 destinations to photograph over 100 creative individuals realizing their dreams as they live out their chosen professions.
These images truly illustrate the emotional value of the Gc brand: ambitious, dynamic and passionate people who follow their dreams – fully representative of the DNA of the brand. An intercultural concept that touches each person in a very individual way, just like the choice of a timepiece is a personal expression and statement of personality.

This passion could be experienced at the event through a live performance of five Gc personalities: a concert pianist from Italy, Maddalena Miramonti, an opera singer from Panama, Ricardo Velásquez, a darbukar percussionist from Egypt, Sabrine El Hossamy, a jazz saxophonist from Spain, Big Dani Pérez, and Shayma Al-Mughairy, a sand artist from the United Arab Emirates.
Finally, the whole event showcased the launch of the Gc-1 Sport – a dynamic timepiece that encompasses all the DNA of the Gc brand in its bold design, attention to detail, use of prestige quality materials and striking colour combinations. Seven years after the launch of this best selling Gc series, this contemporary and sophisticated execution of the Gc1 is to become the new iconic face of the Gc brand and will be worn by the singers of the Gc rising stars from the UK, the operatic group, Amore.
