June 2013

One of the highlights of Couture — the Couture Design Awards — set new records in 2012 with 162 submissions. And in this year’s competition, the public was shown again what happens when some of the most creative minds stretch the boundaries of design.

All the pieces were displayed in the competition hallway, a “museum quality” display of this dazzling collection. In addition to the retailers voting on their favorites in the “People’s Choice Award,” a panel of fellow designers, Cornerstone Retailers and jewelry editors from leading consumer magazines judged submissions on criteria that include design, craftsmanship and saleability. The judges voted for the winning pieces on site, and retailers also received their ballots and vote for the “People’s Choice Awards” at Couture.

Among the eleven categories of jewellery and four categories of watches, the Magelluna has been chosen as the “Winner of Watch Architecture” at the Couture Design Awards in Las Vegas.

The Magelluna is recognized for its meticulous hand-crafted work and hand-painting which makes each watch unique.
