Swarovski Christmas Competition
“The Snowman`s Great Adventure”

Crystal Christmas - an online experience

“Who collects bears?” or “Who wanted a mobile phone?”- it's questions like this which accompany the launch of Swarovski's very first Christmas competition end November 2001 on www.swarovski.com. In the shape of an Advent calendar, the doors for each day open to reveal a cartoon. Participants in the competition have to help the snowman to find the right gifts.
There are valuable crystal figurines to be won every day, and the first prize is a Maxi Crystal Swan worth several thousand US dollars - an attraction not only for the more than 450,000 enthusiastic members of the Swarovski Collectors Society worldwide.

The “Snowman`s Great Adventure” competition is the first of a series of special online activities which will accompany the launch of the new Swarovski e-shops. Here online shoppers can purchase selected pieces from the Swarovski Jewellry Collection and watches from the Swarovski Crystal Time Collection. The fashion-conscious will also be able to buy Crystal Tattoos, the trendsetting product which is causing a stir at all the important parties and events all over the world.

Crystal enthusiasts may also purchase valuable Swarovski Silver Crystal figurines and accessories and colourful crystal objects from the Daniel Swarovski Paradise range online. Anyone looking for a small gift to serve as a reminder of shared memories, secrets or hobbies, will be able to find exactly the right thing among the Crystal Moments in the Swarovski e-shop.
Soon a number of selected pieces from the Swarovski DÉcor line, including the exquisite Toasting Flutes, will also be available in the e-shop, and next year the Swarovski Collectors Society will join the online family.
A search function and a monthly special theme will assist in finding the ideal gift. This will be delivered in the new blue and red Swarovski look packaging. If desired, a personal greetings card may be included. The service guarantees a delivery time of not more than 3 working days. Fixed date deliveries may be arranged up to 4 weeks in advance.

For more than a hundred years Swarovski, the Austrian family company based in Wattens in the Tyrol, has been the world's leading manufacturer of cut crystal. Crystal jewellery stones and crystalline semi-finished goods for the fashion, jewellery and lighting industries are as much a part of the company's product range as gift articles and collectibles fashioned from faceted crystal. Swarovski's artistic and design abilities are evident in Daniel Swarovski Paris and Swarovski Jewellery, the company's accessory and jewellery ranges. Since 1995 visitors have been able to enjoy the ultimate crystal experience at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. The Swarovski group also includes Tyrolit, which produces grinding tools and abrasives, Swarovski Optik, the company's optics division, with its precision optics for hunting and nature observation, and Signity, which produces natural and synthetic precious stones.
In 2000 Swarovski achieved group sales of CHF 2,35 billion with a total of 12,400 employees.
