Due to the steadily growing demand for exhibition space for brand names of watches and jewellery, especially in the prestige segment, the Show management will make use of additional hall capacities in Zurich as of 2003, and will locate individual sectors of the Show on its expanded premises.

Under the new concept - approvedby the Exhibitors' Committee on October 2 - as of 2003, brand watches and jewellery together with “related sectors” on show in Basel will be exhibited according to product category. By contrast, in Zurich, watches and jewellery as well as related sectors will be sorted geographically in “national pavilions”.

The originally intended concept of transferring all the related sectors to Zurich has been shelved.
