Swarovski

Couture and Emotion are the names of the new trends presented by Swarovski: the one extravagant and glamorous, the other steeped in poetry and romance. “Couture”, with its lavish use of exclusive, luxurious materials such as leather and fur and its bold colours, especially red and black, is far removed from the delicate, natural hues of “Emotion” with its girlish, floral or ethnic-style accessories.
Brooches are an absolute must for both styles. Emotion has a wealth of floral motifs which are the ideal complement for the expressive pieces in this collection: large multi-faceted stones are combined mainly with gold, and soft, earthy shades, including Light Smoke Topaz and Light Colorado Topaz, dominate the scene.

For more than a hundred years Swarovski, the Austrian family company based in Wattens in the Tyrol, has been the world's leading manufacturer of cut crystal. Crystal jewellery stones and crystalline semi-finished goods for the fashion, jewellery and lighting industries are as much a part of the company's product range as gift articles and collectibles fashioned from faceted crystal. Swarovski's artistic and design abilities are evident in Daniel Swarovski Paris and Swarovski Jewellery, the company's accessory and jewellery ranges. Since 1995 visitors have been able to enjoy the ultimate crystal experience at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. The Swarovski group also includes Tyrolit, which produces grinding tools and abrasives, Swarovski Optik, the company's optics division, with its precision optics for hunting and nature observation, and Signity, which produces natural and synthetic precious stones.
In 2000 Swarovski achieved group sales of CHF 2,35 billion with a total of 12,400 employees.
