Seiko Agrees to a Licensing Contract for Products bearing the Official 2002 FIFA World Cup™ Marks

Seiko Corporation, of Tokyo, Japan, has just released™ that earlier this year it agreed to enter into an exclusive, world-wide product-license agreement with ISL Worldwide, of Switzerland, to produce and market wristwatches, clocks, and stopwatches bearing the official 2002 FIFA World Cup™ Marks (Official Emblem, Official Mascots and FIFA World CupTrophy).  ISL Worldwide is the exclusive marketing partner of FIFA&#44; the F&#x00C9;d&#x00C9;ration Internationale de Football Association&#44; the world governing body of Association Football. <br /> <br /> In anticipation of the 2002 FIFA World Cup soccer games, the first FIFA World Cupto be held in Asia&#44; Seiko Corporation and its group companies plan to market world-wide a wide range of branded licensed products&#44; from popularly priced items to its luxury SEIKO CREDOR brand of watches&#44; beginning in the fall of this year.  Seiko expects that its 2002 FIFA World Cup watches, clocks, and stopwatches range will record about 5 billion yen in retail sales.
