Quantum was again the sole sponsor of Yasemin DalkiliÇ in Bodrum, Turkey, when she broke the world record in the No Limit' category by diving to 120 metres. without any assistance from respiratory material. Four days previously, Yasemin broke theLimited Variable Ballast' record with a dive to 100 metres.
These thrilling events were the perfect opportunity for Quantum watches to launch its new model the V288, a watch equipped with the world's first movement featuring an electronically integrated depth metre in analogue display. This all stainless steel model is water-
resistant to 20 ATM and has a screw in crown. The depth sensor allows a measurement up to 55m in 0.1 increments. The V288 has multiple functions fulfilling the requirements of the most demanding professional divers: depth alarm, maximum depth memory, surfacing speed warning, depth error warning, irregular operation lock out system, battery warning. A limited series is now available to the public.
