Raymond Weil sponsors the Spivakov Foundation of Moscow
On the 3rd of September, the city of Moscow celebrated its anniversary. Raymond Weil took part in the celebration by sponsoring a gala concert performed by the musicians of the Spivakov Foundation.
On the occasion, Raymond Weil offered a cheque to the Foundation, thus inaugurating a close collaboration with the aims of this institution. Moreover the watchbrand has produced a CD with the best musical performances of the young talents promoted by the Foundation.
Founded in 1994 by the famous Russian violinist, Vladimir Spivakov, the Foundation's mission is to help young artists develop their talents thanks to their financial and artistic support. It has helped 1500 young people in its six years' existence. It organizes contests and master classes with famous maestros from the Conservatoires of Moscow and Saint Petersburg throughout Russia.
By its sponsorship Raymond Weil marks its supportive attitude to young artists. The watchbrand in addition also sponsors the “Songwriter of the year” contest awarded by the daily newspaper The Times and, each year, distinguishes a talented musician from Taiwan's well-known National Institute of Performing Arts.
