The Swiss watch industry's export figures continue to rise...

For the 14th consecutive month, the Swiss watch industry's exports have increased in September 2000. The total value of exports reached 906,7 million Swiss francs and the third quarter distinguished itself with the record figure of 2,417 billion Swiss francs.
The 15,9% growth of the months January to September will allow the industry to export products for more than 10 billions' worth. The first three quarters' export figures reached 7,131 billion Swiss francs. Some 600.000 completed watches were exported, due to the strong demand of steel (+6%) and gold watches.
