BaselWorld Hall of Universe takes shape

December 2003

Before the opening of the world's largest watch and jewellery show, BASELWORLD, in April 2004, storage hall 6 will be converted into exhibition space to house the Hall of Universe. With its innovative interior design, the Hall of Universe will be one of the highlights of BASEL-WORLD 2004.
The new hall complex linked to Hall 5, will house the national country pavilions which will be presented as a unified section of the exhibition. On a gross area of 30,000 square metres, around 800 companies from 25 countries will present their products: watches, jewellery and related branches. The clear segmentation of BASELWORLD, which was met with great approval by exhibi-tors and visitors in 2003, will remain unchanged as the Hall of Universe is integrated into the expanded exhibition venue in Basel.
The Hall of Universe is designed around the “concept of Seven Worlds”. The fully-integrated booth construction system is a first and will be adapted for the various countries in both colour and shape. Thanks to this innovative interior design, visitors to BASELWORLD will experience a sensual trip through the seven worlds: America, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Thailand and other Far- and Middle-Eastern countries. The impressive new look for the Hall of Universe will further enhance the awareness and perception of the national pavilions at BASELWORLD and give them even more shine and uniqueness.
