Ice-Watch to launch in USA

Just in time for this year’s Christmas shopping period, Ice-Watch timepieces will be launched in the US. Distributor Geneva Watch Group has announced that Macy’s will be the exclusive national retailer for the brand’s launch and will carry Ice-Watch products in 350 Macy’s stores across the country and on macys.com beginning this month.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Ice-Watch brand to our vibrant portfolio,” said Geneva Watch Group CEO, Jeff Gregg, “We are looking forward to our partnership with Macy’s and we are certain that with our market knowledge and resources, Ice-Watch will have the same success in the U.S. that the brand has experienced internationally.”

With over two million fans on Facebook and having sold over four million watches in 2011, Ice-Watch already has a huge consumer following. Via social sharing, Ice-Watch’s colourful collection is perfectly positioned to reach US consumers and brighten up any social outlet with the click of a button. To further its popularity, the brand has quickly developed a strong celebrity following including David Guetta, Katy Perry and The Black Eyed Peas, who have all been seen wearing the brightly coloured wrist candy in their music videos. The most recent talent to sport the Ice-Watch is Gwen Stefani in the latest No Doubt video for the band’s single “Settle Down”.
