Equipped with a quartz electronic movement, this table clock varies by only one minute per year. The quartz rod vibrates 16,384 times per second, a frequency which is brought down to i Hertz (one vibration per second) through a 14-stage binary division., This vibration per second is transmitted to the hands by a stepping motor. The use of non sophisticated electronic components results in great reliability at a moderate price. (IMHOF)
