Sbarro

After three decades devoted to automotive innovation and styling, designer Franco Sbarro has earned an international reputation for himself and for his design school, focussing largely on creative automotive engineering, where the world’s very first hubless wheel was developed. This basic idea has now led his students and himself to develop a centre-less watch, presented for the first time ever at Basle this year and made in a numbered and signed limited edition. The system is composed of a ring with two rotating discs, one showing the hours the other the minutes, driven by a compact, off-centred quartz movement at 12 o’clock. This new time-display system frees the centre of the watch which can thus be made exceptionally attractive. Steel case water-resistant to 30 m.
