The “Quartz Chronometer” title is awarded only to very high quality watches having successfully passed a series of stringent tests for accuracy and - more important still - for reliability (resistance to shocks, moisture, temperature variations, etc.). A substantial share of Girard- Perregaux’s production undergoes chronometer testing.
