ubai Watch Week reveals ‘the city that never sleeps’ as the next host location of the globally renowned Horology Forum. Tapping into the perpetual pulse of New York, the dynamic summit will showcase the intense passion and creativity that’s so essential to the watch industry from 24th to 25th September.

The Horology Forum 8th edition titled ‘Moves New York’ – will build on the internationally recognised success of the biennial Dubai Watch Week event and the 2018 London-based Horology Forum with the unforgettable vibrance and diversity inherent to this year’s host city. Both an economic and cultural capital, the city’s reputation as a fast-moving incubator for change; brands the gathering in both setting and theme. Comprising over 70 panels and 200 speakers since its inception in 2015, Horology Forum and the respective travelling editions aim to unite and engage a wide audience via captivating formats, and tackle key topics within the industry.

Committed to building an educational platform within an inclusive space for intellectual discovery and networking, the program will feature candid conversations led by renowned leaders across varied fields, hands-on workshops, and interactive activations. With topics extending well beyond ‘watchmaking 101’, the event promises to engage attendees ranging from horology experts to fashion media to the curious passerby with a curated set of activities. Panel topics will include the current status of American watchmaking; the magic of collecting and the impact of NFTs in luxury products; the power of originality vs. regurgitating designs; and much more.

“As one of the most captivating cities in the world, New York is the perfect place to celebrate the energy, creativity, and excellence of the horology industry and its community,” says Hind Abdul Hamied Seddiqi, Director General of Dubai Watch Week. “Our passion for watchmaking and the industry goes beyond the measurement of seconds, minutes, and hours; it looks to the ideas born, the relationships built, the stories told from past to present to future, and that’s what we will celebrate and explore this edition as we look to captivate a wider audience. The success of the 2018 travelling edition in London and via a digital format in 2020 is a testament to the appetite for such events and caters to our mission of providing an educational platform; one that we continue to learn from as well.”

Previous Horology Forum editions have welcomed presenters and moderators with art, business, and entertainment accolades including Kevin O’Leary, Chairman of O’Shares ETF Investments and Beanstox, Leonie Flückiger, Co-Founder Adresta AG; Danny Govberg, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of WatchBox; Aldis Hodge, Actor and Horologist; Anish Bhatt, Founder and CEO of WatchAnish and more.
