For this latest issue, we have extended our favourite curatorship practice to eighteen personalities, predominantly from the new generation, by inviting them to make selections from our archives, which go back to the 1930s.

A

magazine is a work of curation. Year-round, we are digital-first, reporting on new models, conducting interviews, and sharing our analyses and points of view — feeding the non-stop flow of information and sometimes feeling like a hamster in its wheel.

In print, we proceed differently. We immobilise time. This includes selecting relevant content from our online platform, which we polish and shape to give it the fluidity of a special report. We build each issue around themed features, planned long in advance and which, by their very nature, deliver exclusive content that will stand the test of time.

For this latest issue, we have extended our favourite curatorship practice to eighteen personalities, predominantly from the new generation, by inviting them to make selections from our archives, which go back to the 1930s. An introspection through choices which, in many cases, say more about the individual than about the image or page that caught their attention. A mirror held up to them.

Watchmaking is, perhaps, first and foremost this work of curation, this introspective searching of a legacy. No other industry has the time to get to know itself more than watchmaking. Ultimately, the watch you wear, the watch that you have curated, speaks volumes about your determination to escape the hamster wheel.
