Indies.NYC Returns October 16 with Eight Independent Watchmaking Voices

Back for its fall edition at New York Watch Week, Indies.NYC once again trades velvet ropes for open conversation, bringing collectors and watchmakers together in a uniquely intimate setting. From the artisanal mastery of Philippe Narbel to the playful creations of Max Büsser’s M.A.D. Editions, this one-night gathering at Hudson Yards will spotlight eight diverse independent brands - celebrating craft, creativity, and connection in true New York style.

rom established artisans like Philippe Narbel to rising voices such as Rogé Bastide, and the irreverent fidget-spinner watches of Max Büsser’s M.A.D. Editions, Indies.NYC brings together the full spectrum of independent watchmaking.

Indies.NYC creates a stage where collectors and watchmakers meet in an evening of sharing and creativity. After a successful spring debut, Indies.NYC returns this fall during New York Watch Week with the same spirit of intimacy and curiosity — and a renewed focus on craft and hand-made artistry.

On October 16, a curated line-up of eight distinctive brands from around the world will take the stage at Hudson Yards, Manhattan, from 4 to 9 PM:

  • Didier Cavasino (Switzerland)
  • Hodinky Berkus (Czech Republic)
  • Kross Studio (Switzerland)
  • Love Hunter (U.S.A)
  • M.A.D Editions (Switzerland)
  • KLANIC, by Philippe Narbel (Switzerland)
  • Rogé Bastide (France)
  • Statera (Brazil)

Indies.NYC is a community shaped as much by New York City as by independent watchmaking itself. People don’t just come to see watches. They come to connect — to grab a drink, share a burger, catch a live slam, and dive into real horology. No velvet ropes, no glass showcases. Just an open space that feels more like a creative studio hangout than a traditional fair.

The April salon drew over 250 collectors and enthusiasts from across the U.S. — not only for the timepieces, but for a night defined by passion, dialogue, and discovery. It was a celebration of craftsmanship and connection, where the lines between maker and collector blurred. Brands flew in from Switzerland, France, China, and the U.S., but what made the night unforgettable was the energy in the room: people from all walks of life, bound by a shared love of horology. It was also the first-ever exhibition outside Europe for Shona Taine, member of the prestigious AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants), who chose Indies.NYC as the launchpad for her international debut.

“For me, Indies.NYC is about creating a space where watchmakers and collectors can sit down together — not across a glass showcase, but across a table. It feels less like a fair and more like a gathering of friends, where stories, laughter, and passion for watchmaking are shared openly.” Jon Cruys, Belgian founder of Indies.NYC, as well as the founder of RedBar Shanghai and relaunching Chronofixe Watches.
